Summit_the_City FINALx3

Vision: That there would be more urban trails in the city of Vancouver outside the downtown core.

Team: Jason Lui, Kevin Wagner, Mary Truong, Rachael Moulson

Description: Summit the City is a student lead pilot project that aims to connect and engage community around seven existing parks in South East Vancouver, specifically in the Sunset, Victoria Fraserview & Killarney neighbourhoods. The creation of this 11 km route, adopts the Grouse Grind concept in our urban landscape to form an ‘Urban Trail’. Guided by bright blue bricks, participants of Summit the City are invited to design their own starting points and finish their journey at the summit of Queen Elizabeth Park, the highest point of elevation in the city of Vancouver.

Location: Everett Crowley Park, Champlain Heights Park, Bobolink Park, Gordon Park, Memorial South Park, Macdonald Park, Queen Elizabeth Park
